Suzanne Smith has extensive experience teaching indigenous communities in Sub-Saharan regions to set up banking and accounting systems. As local startups receive micro-loans, accurate tracking and reporting is critical, despite limited electricity and technology. Suzanne teaches a handwritten double-entry system that is simple to use. To represent this no-tech solution, the logo design incorporates the universal accounting tool, the abacus. Also known as a “counting frame,” the abacus is still used worldwide to teach basic arithmetic.
