BEFORE & AFTER: LOGO RE-DESIGN
CUSTOMER: Chez Thuy Vietnamese Restaurant, Boulder, CO
PROJECT DETAILS:
Chez Thuy is a Vietnamese Restaurant that embraces a rich blend of culinary traditions including French, Chinese, Thai, Indonesian and Vietnamese with owner Thuy’s (pronounced “twee”) special touch. It is the best restaturant in Boulder.
The original logo had a font that was more stilted, more German or Old English. Since France ruled Vietnam until 1954, Vietnam was heavily influenced by the French culture, food and language. So I gravitated to a more artistic cursive font with a lot of flourishes with a more festive celebratory feel overall. The logo design won an “Award of Excellence” from American Corporate Identity in their Annual Design Competition.
